JUROR:   Dee Carson, Executive Director of Northwest Art Alliance

Artisan Tile NW advocates artistic excellence, innovation and awareness of handmade tile. The prize goes to the artist whose tile, in the opinion of the juror, displays excellent ceramic skills and an innovative approach to the theme “Feathered Friends”.

The award amount is $100

Tile Heritage Foundation Prize

JUROR :   Ron Endlich, Antique tile collector.

Tile Heritage Foundation’s mission is to document and preserve tile history in the U.S., both past and present. The prize goes to the artist whose tile, in the opinion of the juror, best represents the ceramic traditions of North America in keeping with the “Feathered Friends” theme.

The prize consists of a check for $100 plus a $100 Centurion membership in Tile Heritage with a link to the artist’s website (total $200 value). If the winning artist is already a THF member we will advance her/his member expiration date by one year.

Status Ceramics Prize

JUROR:   Ginny Conrow, Artist/Owner of Conrow Porcelain Studio  

Status Ceramics is a Seattle company dedicated to the art of handcrafted tiles. The prize goes to the artist whose tile, in the opinion of the juror, displays the most imaginative design and use of color in keeping with the “Feathered Friends” theme.

The award amount is $100 plus five days working in the Status studio to transfer an original image into a working mold, and execute and glaze up to 30 pieces.
